Babil Bahçeleri

Babil Bahçeleri — is one of the most unusual boutique hotels in Northern Cyprus, whose history began not at all with the hotel business. Its founder, a professional landscape designer, spent many years collecting plants, trees, and flowers, gradually turning an ordinary plot of land into a true botanical garden.

Over time, a small boutique hotel, a restaurant, and a cafe appeared among the garden. That is why the main decoration of the complex is considered not to be the buildings, but the collection of plants, decorative ponds, cozy paths, and green corners for relaxation. The name “Hanging Gardens of Babylon” refers to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and reflects the idea of this place well — to create a green oasis where nature plays the leading role.

Bademli Stone House

Bademli Stone House is located in the village of Ötüken, near İskele. At the heart of the complex is an old family stone house, which the owners decided not to rebuild, but to fully restore, preserving traditional Cypriot architecture.

The collection of antiques gives this place a special atmosphere. For more than thirty years, the owner of the house collected antique furniture, interior items, kitchen utensils, agricultural tools, and other things that tell the story of the lives of Cypriot families of the last century. Today, this collection decorates the rooms, the restaurant, and the inner courtyard, turning the entire complex into a small private museum.

Now Bademli Stone House combines a boutique hotel, cafe, bar, and restaurant. One of the distinctive features of the complex is a tasting of local Blue Wine — blue wine, which guests can try during their visit.

Melandra House

The history of Melandra House began in the village of Melandra, located in the Paphos region. It was there that in 1922 Shevki Kiralp built a family home, which decades later became the prototype of the modern complex.

After the events of 1974, the family left their native village. Already in Northern Cyprus, architect Mustafa Kiralp decided to restore the family home almost in its original form. Old photographs, preserved drawings, and the family’s memories were used for this. That is how Melandra House appeared — a place that became not just a boutique guesthouse, but a symbol of preserving traditional Cypriot architecture.

Today Melandra House is a small ethnographic exhibition, where the owner of the complex still lives. The house welcomes tour groups, and its premises and inner courtyard are also used as a venue for various events.

The creators of the complex see Melandra House not only as a place to stay, but also as a project to preserve the island’s cultural heritage. That is why cultural meetings and events dedicated to the traditions of Northern Cyprus are held here regularly.

Hanna Koumi Boutique Hotel

Hanna Koumi Boutique Hotel is located in the Maronite village of Koruçam and occupies a traditional stone house restored while preserving its historical appearance. During the restoration, the owners tried to preserve as much as possible the characteristic elements of Cypriot rural architecture — the stone masonry, wooden beams, inner courtyard, and the atmosphere of an old house.

Today Hanna Koumi Boutique Hotel combines a small boutique hotel and a restaurant, where guests are introduced to the traditional cuisine and culture of the Maronite community of Northern Cyprus.
