Padel was born in Acapulco, Mexico, in 1969, when Enrique Corcuera adapted a 20 x 10 meter plot of land in his estate, placing walls at the back and sides, essentially so that vegetation would not intrude into his space. It was played with wooden paddles and called Paddle-Tenis.
