TRNC Delegation Heads to Ankara
A high-level delegation from Northern Cyprus has departed for Ankara to hold meetings with government partners.
TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Minister of Tourism, Environment, and Culture Fikri Ataoğlu, and Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı have traveled to the Turkish capital to establish formal ties.
According to the Prime Minister's Office of Press and Public Relations, Ünal Üstel is scheduled to meet with Turkey’s Vice President, Cevdet Yılmaz, during the visit. Discussions will focus on the implementation details of the Financial Cooperation Protocol between the Republic of Turkey and the TRNC.
The delegation is also set to visit Anıtkabir, the memorial complex that houses the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.
