Erhürman Addresses Student Congress and Calls for Conditions to Be Created for Young People

President of the TRNC Tufan Erhürman addressed the Congress of Students from Turkish Cypriot Universities, stating that young people should play a key role in discussions about the future of society. He stressed the importance of creating conditions that would enable young people to successfully complete their education and, after graduation, want to remain in Northern Cyprus or return there after studying abroad.

According to Erhürman, the absence of such conditions could seriously affect the future of Turkish Cypriots. The President also urged young people to speak openly about the problems facing society and express their opinions directly. He stressed that young people should be the main participants in discussions about the country's future development.

Erhürman noted that a well-educated youth is one of society's main resources and can help Northern Cyprus move forward. The President also said that he was looking forward to the report to be prepared by the congress participants and urged them to honestly outline the existing problems and their proposals in it.
