As part of World Environment Day, a large-scale environmental project to create an industrial forest has begun in the Haspolat region. About 12,000 trees are planned to be planted on an area of 120 donums. An important technical feature of the project will be that only treated water from modern wastewater treatment facilities will be used to regularly irrigate the entire forest belt.
According to local authorities, the project is aimed not only at improving the environmental situation in the region, but also at creating a sustainable development model that will bring economic benefits in the future. The municipality emphasized that the area, which in the past suffered from serious environmental problems due to old treatment systems, is now being transformed into a clean green zone. The upgraded complex is now processing water to high standards, which has already attracted many bird species to the area and restored the local ecosystem.
