Showers and thunderstorms in Northern Cyprus to continue until Monday

The TRNC Meteorological Department reported that the showers and thunderstorms affecting Northern Cyprus will continue until Monday, October 5. Showers, with thunderstorms in some areas, are expected today and tomorrow, while the rest of the week will be cloudy.

According to the weekly forecast for October 3–9, the island remains under the influence of a cool, humid air mass. Temperatures inland and along the coast will range from 26–29 °C. Winds will be mainly northerly and moderate, becoming strong at times during rain.

According to meteorologists, the most rainfall over the past 24 hours was recorded in Ziyamet on the Karpas Peninsula, at 20 kg per square metre. Alsancak recorded 17 kg/m², Lapta 15 kg/m², and Kyrenia 12 kg/m².
