In Northern Cyprus, the conscript assembly for military service will take place next Monday
Next Monday, July 7, from 08:00 to 12:30, the conscript assembly for military service will be held at the Mobilization Department of the Security Forces Command ASAL (Nicosia).
The press office of the General Staff of the Security Forces (GKK) stated that everyone who applied to the Mobilization and Personnel Reserve Department of the GKK for conscription for paid military service, and who was notified by summons to attend the assembly, must bring the following documents:
- TRNC identity card;
- TRNC birth registration certificate;
- for persons with dual citizenship, a copy of the TRNC population registration certificate with a Turkish identity card;
- passport;
- TRNC entry-exit document, which can be obtained from regional PGM offices;
- receipt confirming payment of the military service fee;
- original and photocopy of a medical certificate indicating any illnesses of persons with health problems;
- medical summary (epicrisis), if available.
It was announced that announcements made on radio, television, and in the press will be considered written notification according to Article 25 of the "Military Service Law", and that those who fail to appear on the announced date and place without a valid reason specified in the Military Service Law will be held liable for draft evasion. They will also lose the right to paid/special military service.
