Ercan Airport Passenger Traffic Increased by More Than 8%
Ercan Airport continues to increase its passenger traffic. According to T&T Havalimanı İşletmeciliği, 2,804,138 passengers used the airport’s services in the first half of 2026, which is 8.24% more than in the same period last year.
Over six months, the airport received and dispatched 18,793 aircraft. Compared with the first half of 2025, the number of flights increased by 8.4%.
The busiest month in terms of passenger numbers was May — the airport served 514,151 people. It was also a record month for the number of flights — 3,422 takeoffs and landings.
The general manager of the airport operator company, M. Serhat Özçelik, said that Ercan continues to cope successfully with the growing passenger flow thanks to infrastructure development and improved service quality.
According to him, in the coming years the company intends to continue investing in the airport’s development, expanding its operational capabilities and improving the level of service.
