A van driver has been penalized in Girne for endangering pedestrians. This time, authorities identified the driver through photos shared online.
Footage posted on social media shows the van driver navigating Gazi Osman Pasha Street in Girne, swerving around puddles in a way that posed a serious risk to human safety. Thanks to these images, the reckless driver was tracked down by traffic authorities linked to the Girne Police Department.
According to the police press office, the driver received a fine of 6,785.20 Turkish Lira, along with 25 penalty points on their driving record.
It's important to note that this isn't the first time traffic offenders have been identified in Girne through videos and photos shared on social media.
