Fire in a Multi-Storey Building in Iskele: Residents Evacuated Through Joint Efforts of Rescue Teams
Authorities shared details about the fire that broke out in the residential complex Rise Apartmanı within the Noyanlar Riverside complex in the Long Beach area of Iskele.
According to the Civil Defence Department, emergency services arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the report of the fire. Due to the thick smoke that filled the building, some residents were unable to leave their apartments on their own.
The evacuation was carried out by officers from the Iskele police, the fire service, the Civil Defence Department and other relevant agencies. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all services, the people were safely evacuated from the building.
Medics on duty at the scene provided first aid to residents who had inhaled smoke and carried out medical examinations.
After the evacuation was completed, Civil Defence specialists, together with firefighters, finished search and rescue operations and provided the necessary assistance at the scene.
The cause of the fire is being determined.
