Hotel Employee in Iskele Suspected of Stealing $4,900
In Iskele, police have detained a 39-year-old employee of one of the hotels on suspicion of stealing a large sum of money from a guest.
According to the investigation, on July 5 the man used a staff card to enter the guest’s room and stole US$4,900 in cash.
After the victim filed a complaint with the police, the suspect was detained. During a search at his place of residence, law enforcement officers also found about 6 grams of a substance believed to be cannabis. The narcotic substance has been seized and sent for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
