A coastal cleanup was held near turtle nesting sites in the village of Akdeniz
On 19 July, an environmental cleanup campaign was held in the village of Akdeniz to clear the coastline. The organizers were Spot Marine Life, with the support of LAÇ Belediyesi municipality. The cleanup took place along a section of coastline where Caretta caretta sea turtles, protected in Cyprus, nest. Volunteers from various organizations across Northern Cyprus joined the campaign, helping to clear the beach of litter and contribute to the preservation of the natural area.
