In Famagusta, a well-known obstetrician-gynecologist is accused of sexual assault
In Famagusta, a well-known obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. M.B., was accused of committing a sexual offense and appeared before the district court on December 12.
According to allegations, the incident occurred on December 10 at a private maternity clinic where the doctor has practiced for many years and is well known to the public. Investigators state that a 26-year-old nurse working at the same clinic reported that she was subjected to sexual violence without her consent during working hours.
According to the case materials, the doctor was in his office and, citing pain in his legs, asked the nurse to apply cream to him. It was at this moment, according to the complainant, that the unlawful act occurred. After the incident, the woman contacted the competent authorities.
As part of the investigation, Dr. M.B. was detained and brought to court on December 12.
The court ordered the release of the accused on bail pending the completion of the trial.
