Contract signed in Famagusta for construction of a car park for 89 vehicles

The Famagusta Municipality has signed a contract for the construction of a car park with capacity for 89 vehicles as part of a project to develop a parking area on Akgöl Street in the area of İsmet İnönü Boulevard.

The agreement was signed by Famagusta Mayor Süleyman Ulucay and Ahmet Uçanok, director of Taşalp İnşaat Ltd., the company that won the tender. The project will cost 21 million 132 thousand 990 lira plus VAT. The works are expected to be completed within three months after the construction site is handed over to the contractor.

Construction will be carried out under the supervision of architects and engineers from the Famagusta Municipality’s project department. As part of the project, the existing area on Akgöl Street will be transformed into a modern, organised car park with 89 spaces. The project will provide for the safe organisation of vehicle entry and exit, the marking of parking spaces and improved conditions for pedestrian movement.

The municipality noted that the project will not only create new parking spaces, but also help make the area more convenient, safer and better developed.
