In Gemikonagi, a car hit a 20-year-old guy: the victim is in intensive care
Yesterday evening, a serious traffic accident occurred in Gemikonagi: a car hit a 20-year-old young man. The victim is in intensive care with multiple injuries.
According to the police press service, the accident happened around eight in the evening. 66-year-old Huseyin Kyoksalalar was driving his car on Edgevit Street in Gemikonagi, and on approach to the Adil gas station, he hit 20-year-old pedestrian Kubra Turkmen, who was crossing the road at that moment.
As a result of the accident, the young man was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital in Nicosia with a chest fracture, right thigh, and right foot fractures, as well as a spleen rupture.
The car driver has been arrested, and the police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
