Worker injured in accident at construction site in İskele
In the village of Kuzudjuk on the morning of January 20, 2026, an accident occurred at a construction site, resulting in injuries to a 52-year-old worker.
According to the Police Press Office, around 08:30, construction worker Arkın Akım (52) was under a trailer caravan attached to a stationary and operational vehicle. The man lay under the caravan to set the handbrake, but the vehicle driver did not see him and began moving.
As a result of the incident, the left wheel of the caravan ran over the worker, causing injuries.
The injured man was taken to Famagusta State Hospital, where he received medical care. After examination, he was placed under observation in the surgical department.
The police continue to investigate the incident.
