A scuffle broke out between deputies in parliament

During a session of the General Assembly of parliament, an incident occurred while the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Erhan Arıklı, was delivering his speech.
CTP MP Ongun Talat interrupted the minister’s speech with a remark from his seat, to which UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan responded. A verbal altercation ensued between the two parliamentarians, which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Other deputies intervened in the situation, managing to separate those involved and prevent further escalation.
Following the incident, Speaker of Parliament Ziya Öztürkler announced a recess in the session.
