In Several Areas of Northern Cyprus, Water Supply Interruptions Expected from February 16 to March 6

The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has announced planned water supply interruptions in several areas due to works on the Kyrenia main water pipeline as part of the project supplying water from Turkey to Northern Cyprus.
From February 16 to March 6, water cuts are possible in Arapköy, Esentepe (including Esentepe-2), Karaağaç Pınarı, Bahçeliköy and Tatlısu, as well as in settlements supplied by these reservoirs. Residents are urged to use water sparingly and make the necessary reserves in advance.
The ministry clarified that during the works, water supply will be partially maintained through local drinking and utility water sources.
As part of the modernization, pumps at the Arapköy, Esentepe and Tatlısu stations will be replaced, faulty valves on the main line will be upgraded, and equipment at the Arapköy pumping station will be repaired. In parallel, connection and upgrade works will be carried out on several reservoirs to minimize future accident risks and improve system stability.
The ministry promised to further inform the public about any possible changes to the work schedule.
