Four illegal residents caught in the TRNC: one had been living without a residence permit since 2020
In Northern Cyprus, the police arrested four individuals who had been living in the country without valid residence permits. One of them had been residing illegally since 2020.
According to the police, all four were detained during a patrol in the Gönyeli and Nicosia areas. They were brought before the Nicosia District Court yesterday.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that Musa Shaika Jo Ansu was arrested on Bedrettin Demirel Street in Nicosia. After further investigation, it was found that he had been living in the TRNC without a residence permit for 512 days, since May 6, 2023.
Samuel Chiduzi Iwunzi was arrested in front of the "Atilgan Plaza" student dormitory in Küçük Kaymaklı. He had been living illegally in Northern Cyprus for 1,623 days, since April 19, 2020.
Abdoulaye Kamara and Alexander N. Gwe were apprehended on Atatürk Street in Gönyeli. They had been in the TRNC without residence permits since November 29, 2021.
The judge ordered all suspects to be held in custody for three days.
