New and Updated Hotels in Cyprus

Updated: 2 weeks ago

Over the past year, several interesting places to stay have opened in Cyprus — from an intimate boutique hotel above the sea in Kissonerga and a ten-room mansion in Nicosia’s Old Town to new beach resorts in Ayia Napa and Protaras. We’ve selected new openings and extensively renovated hotels for 2025–2026 that stand out not only for their new furnishings, but also for their own distinctive concepts.

The prices in this article are indicative rates for a standard room for two for one night, based on available 2026 rates. They vary considerably depending on the season, room category, meals, cancellation terms and specific booking dates.

Serbellas Boutique Hotel — Kissonerga, Paphos

Serbellas Boutique Hotel stands out among Paphos’s new hotels primarily because of its unusual concept. Its creators call it Sanctuary of Scents by the Sea, linking it to Cyprus’s centuries-old history of perfumery. Here, scents are not limited to the aroma in the lobby: each room has its own perfume station nearby, which guests can use during their stay. The fragrance palette includes notes of bay leaf, lavender, citrus and amber — so scent becomes part of the hotel experience, alongside the interior and sea view.

The design carries this idea further: black marble is paired with warm walnut wood, subdued lighting and calm natural shades. The hotel itself is small, with 52 rooms, 47 of them overlooking the sea. It has Cabana Suites with private pools, a spa, an outdoor pool, a gym, restaurants and bars. The concept is aimed more at a peaceful, intimate getaway than at the atmosphere of a large all-inclusive resort.

Serbellas is in Kissonerga, between Paphos and Coral Bay, on Chrysoneras Avenue, not far from the coast and Potima Beach. Its location is convenient for those who want to stay by the sea while also having quick access to both Paphos and the beaches around Coral Bay.

The name SERBELLAS is interesting, too: the hotel’s creators associate it with the ideas of serenity, beauty, seaside, elegance and refinement. That is why the perfume concept is not just a standalone design flourish, but part of the hotel’s overall idea — engaging not only the visual sense, but also scent, materials and the atmosphere of the space.
Indicative price: approximately EUR 180–300 per night for two, depending on the date and room category.
Type: 5-star boutique hotel.
Ideal for: a peaceful couples’ getaway, a short weekend break, and anyone who values design, atmosphere and a small-scale hotel.
Location

NALU Latchi by Leonardo Limited Edition — Latchi, Polis

One of the most notable new resorts on the west coast opened on 18 June 2026 in Latchi, near Polis and the Akamas Peninsula. The five-star NALU Latchi is reminiscent of a small resort village: its 240 suites are spread across 11 low-rise buildings, so despite the scale of the complex, it doesn’t feel like one huge hotel building.

The 87 Swim-Up Junior Suites, with direct access to the pool, are especially appealing. Families can choose more spacious suites that accommodate up to five people. The resort has three restaurants and bars, several pools, wellness areas, a Kids Club, mini golf and an open-air cinema. The hotel is by the sea, and its location in Latchi is convenient for trips around Akamas and for enjoying the northwest coast.

Price: from EUR 230–450 per night for two for basic room categories in high season. Swim-up and family suites cost more; the final price depends on the dates and rate selected.
Ideal for: families with children and couples looking for a new five-star seaside resort with extensive facilities, but who prefer the quieter Latchi area to major tourist centres.

Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia — Nicosia

Located in the heart of vibrant Nicosia, Leonardo Boutique Hotel Venetian Nicosia is a refined urban oasis where timeless retro elegance meets modern luxury. Inspired by glamour, the hotel combines warm, inviting interiors with sophisticated design, creating an intimate atmosphere rich in character and style.

The hotel has 71 rooms and suites. The interiors combine contemporary design with retro touches, rich colours, soft lighting and vintage details. Alongside Deluxe Rooms, there are rooms with balconies and several suite categories, so guests can choose an option for either a short city break or a longer stay.

The hotel is home to Root & Rind restaurant, The Conservatory with its outdoor terrace, and Smoothie Factory Café. Facilities include a gym, room service and a 24-hour reception. Small dogs weighing up to 6 kg are permitted for an additional fee.
Price: from EUR 170 per night. The price depends on the dates and room category selected.
Ideal for: couples, independent travellers and anyone visiting Nicosia for a few days who wants to stay near the Old Town in a small, modern hotel.
Location

Amyth of Nicosia — Nicosia

Amyth is almost the opposite of the seaside resorts in this selection. The hotel is inside the Venetian Walls of Nicosia’s Old Town and occupies a restored historic mansion. It has just 10 rooms and suites.

The building retains its old tiled floors, grand staircase, wooden features, decorative finishes and painted ceilings. Contemporary design has been integrated carefully into the historic interior, so Amyth feels more like a beautiful city residence than a classic five-star hotel.

Amyth Kouzina, serving contemporary interpretations of Cypriot and Mediterranean cuisine, is on the ground floor, alongside an inner courtyard and a bar. But the main advantage is the location: museums, old churches, small galleries, cafés and the streets of the historic centre are literally on the doorstep.

The hotel opened in 2025 and is particularly well suited to a short weekend trip to Nicosia or as an unusual stop during a trip around the island.

Indicative price: approximately EUR 210–300 per night for two, depending on the date and room category. Suites cost more.
Ideal for: couples, fans of small historic hotels and design, food lovers, and those who enjoy exploring Nicosia’s Old Town on foot.
Location

Warner Boutique Hotel — Larnaca

Warner Boutique Hotel opened in central Larnaca in spring 2026. This is a small adults-only hotel for guests aged 21 and over, so its concept is geared more towards a peaceful city break for two than a family holiday.

The décor blends contemporary interiors with elements of traditional Cypriot aesthetics. Warner’s main advantage, however, is its location. Finikoudes Beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, while the Church of Saint Lazarus, Larnaca’s old streets, restaurants and cafés are nearby.

The hotel has a restaurant, a bar, and indoor and outdoor leisure areas. It is a good option for those who don’t need a huge property with several pools, but want to step outside the hotel and find themselves right in the middle of city life.
Indicative price: from EUR 130–180 per night; the price depends on the dates and booking terms.
Ideal for: couples, short trips to Larnaca, child-free holidays and anyone who wants to combine the beach with restaurants and city walks.
Location

The Nines — Ayia Napa

The Nines is one of Ayia Napa’s notable new five-star openings of 2026. The hotel is on Nissi Avenue, not far from Vathia Gonia Beach.

The Nines combines the easy feel of a resort with the standards of a five-star hotel: a relaxed atmosphere is complemented by considered design, quality service and premium touches, including Balmain Paris toiletries in the rooms.

This is a much larger property, with 106 rooms and suites, modern architecture and a large central pool area that forms the heart of hotel life. The Nines is a good fit for those looking for a contemporary resort experience and stylish design, while also valuing proximity to Ayia Napa’s beaches and entertainment.
Indicative price: from EUR 270–330 per night for two. Rates can be significantly higher in the peak summer season and for suites.
Ideal for: couples and friends looking for a modern five-star hotel, a pool, Ayia Napa’s beaches and a lively resort nearby.
Location

AYÃ Resort — Ayia Napa area

AYÃ Resort is a case where a small scale helps create the atmosphere: just 48 suites, no sense of a vast resort complex, and plenty of space designed for couples to unwind.

The design clearly evokes the mood of Mykonos — white architecture, stone, soft natural shades, greenery and water. Some suites have private pools, while the swim-up rooms offer direct access to the water.

The hotel focuses on privacy and a peaceful adults-only getaway, but guests can easily change the mood if they wish: AYÃ Summer Club hosts parties and DJ sets. It’s a successful combination — a secluded suite and private pool for a quiet day, or music and a livelier atmosphere when that’s what you’re in the mood for.

Indicative price: from EUR 230–300 per night. Upgraded room categories and popular dates cost more.
Ideal for: adult couples and groups of friends who enjoy a beach-club and lifestyle-style holiday.
Location

Sunrise Emerald — Pernera, Protaras

Sunrise Emerald is a new seaside resort from Sunrise Group in Pernera. Unlike intimate properties such as Serbellas or Warner, this is a full-scale resort for a seaside holiday.

The hotel is right next to the golden sands of Vrysoudia Beach, approximately 3 km from the centre of Protaras. It has four pools: a main pool, a separate adults-only pool, a children’s pool and an indoor pool. Families can make use of the Kids Club and children’s activities.

Sunrise Emerald has four restaurants, including Mediterranean and Italian options, as well as a Pan-Asian rooftop restaurant. There is also a spa with a sauna, steam room, massage rooms and a relaxation area.

The rooms are designed for couples and families alike. Options include standard Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and spacious one- and two-bedroom suites with panoramic sea views.
Ideal for: families with children, couples and anyone looking for a full beach holiday without planning to leave the hotel every day.
Location

Pendeli Resort — Platres

Pendeli Resort offers a completely different take on a Cypriot holiday. Instead of the sea, there are the pine-covered Troodos Mountains, cool evenings and walks around Platres.

The historic Pendeli returned after an extensive renovation in summer 2025 as a modern four-star mountain resort. The renovation preserved the character of the old hotel while completely reimagining its interiors.

It now has 85 rooms and suites, a 20-metre outdoor pool, a separate children’s pool, a wellness area with a sauna and ice room, a large gym, several restaurants and cafés, a piano bar, and games rooms for children and teenagers.

The interiors use natural materials — wood, stone and marble — and the furnishings include pieces and design elements from well-known designer brands.

Indicative price: from EUR 185–275 per night, although the price depends greatly on the room category, weekend dates and meal plan. Upgraded suites can cost significantly more.
Ideal for: romantic weekends, family trips to Troodos, autumn and winter holidays, and anyone looking to swap the sea for the mountains for a few days.

The Landmark Nicosia, Autograph Collection — Nicosia

The Landmark officially opened on 2 December 2025, but in practice became one of the season’s major new hotel projects for 2026. Formerly a landmark hotel in the capital, it has been completely transformed following an extensive renovation.

Unlike intimate Amyth, The Landmark is a large five-star city hotel: it has 265 rooms and 18 suites, indoor and outdoor pools, an extensive spa, a fitness centre, restaurants and spacious event facilities.

It is the first Autograph Collection hotel in Cyprus. The hotel is designed not only for tourists: it is also a convenient place to stay on a business trip, for a city break or for an event in Nicosia.
Indicative price: from EUR 180–260 per night for two, excluding higher room categories and specific breakfast packages.
Ideal for: an upscale city break, business trips, events and anyone who values a spa, a pool and the full facilities of a large five-star hotel.

Which hotel to choose

If you’re looking for a small hotel by the sea, Serbellas Boutique Hotel is the first place to consider. For a romantic trip to Nicosia’s Old Town, Amyth is a more interesting choice, while Warner Boutique Hotel is a good option for a short break in central Larnaca.

For a full beach holiday with children, Sunrise Emerald is the more logical choice. For a modern Ayia Napa stay with five-star comfort, choose The Nines, while AYÃ Resort is a better fit for a holiday with music and a pool-party atmosphere.

If the sea is no longer a must, Pendeli Resort offers a completely different Cyprus — mountains, pine trees and Platres. In Nicosia, the choice depends on the type of trip: intimate, historic Amyth or the large, modern The Landmark with its full range of hotel facilities.

If you’re planning a route to see the main attractions of the Republic of Cyprus and want to get around without relying on taxis, it’s convenient to compare car rental options in advance through Localrent. It’s also worth planning the basic practical details in advance. You can arrange travel medical insurance before departure, for example through Tripinsurance, and set up a travel eSIM in advance for navigation and staying connected on the road, for example through Drimsim.

Frequently asked questions

Which new hotels opened in Cyprus in 2025–2026?

Some of the most interesting recent projects include Serbellas Boutique Hotel in Kissonerga, The Nines in Ayia Napa, Sunrise Emerald in Pernera, Warner Boutique Hotel in Larnaca and Amyth of Nicosia in Nicosia’s Old Town. The selection also includes hotels that have completely updated their concept following extensive renovations, including The Landmark Nicosia and Imperial Island Resort.

Which new hotel should I choose near Paphos?

For a peaceful stay in a small hotel, consider Serbellas Boutique Hotel in Kissonerga. It has just 52 rooms, most with sea views, as well as a spa, a pool and room categories with private pools. If you’re looking for a larger resort with extensive facilities and Premium All-Inclusive, you could consider the renovated Imperial Island Resort.

Are there any adults-only options among the new hotels?

Yes. Some of the recent openings are adults-only or primarily aimed at adult guests. For example, Warner Boutique Hotel in Larnaca welcomes guests aged 21 and over, while AYÃ Resort combines a resort holiday with music and an events programme. It’s best to check each hotel’s age restrictions directly before booking.

Which hotel should I choose for a seaside holiday?

If the beach is your main priority, consider new and renovated resort hotels on the east coast. Sunrise Emerald is by the sea in Pernera, The Nines is near Vathia Gonia in Ayia Napa, and AYÃ Resort is in the Ayia Thekla area. The beach is not part of Serbellas’s own grounds in Kissonerga, but the coast is nearby.

Are there any interesting new small boutique hotels?

Yes. Serbellas Boutique Hotel offers a more intimate experience with 52 rooms, Warner Boutique Hotel is a small city hotel in Larnaca, and Amyth of Nicosia occupies a restored historic mansion inside Nicosia’s Venetian Walls, with just 10 rooms.

Are there any interesting new hotels away from the sea?

Yes. Amyth of Nicosia is a good choice for a trip to the capital’s historic centre, while the renovated Pendeli Resort is suited to a stay in Platres and trips around Troodos. These offer a completely different experience from beach resorts: walks, a mountain climate and the chance to explore villages and nature trails.

Which hotel is suitable for a couples’ holiday?

For a peaceful trip for two, consider Serbellas Boutique Hotel or the small Amyth of Nicosia. If you’re looking for music, a pool and a livelier atmosphere, AYÃ Resort is more appealing. Warner Boutique Hotel suits those who prefer a city break and want to stay in Larnaca without a large resort complex.

Which option is better for a holiday with children?

For a family holiday, look towards full-service resorts with pools, restaurants and facilities for children. Sunrise Emerald caters to families, while the renovated Imperial Island Resort offers family rooms, a Kids Club and a Teens Club. Adults-only hotels are not suitable for trips with children.

How much do new hotels in Cyprus cost?

The price depends greatly on the month, room category, meals and hotel occupancy. A boutique hotel and a large five-star resort may fall into completely different price brackets, and the same room can cost considerably more in summer than in the shoulder season. The price ranges given in this article should be used only as a guide; check the current rate for your specific travel dates.

Why does the selection include hotels that existed before?

We included several hotels that have undergone extensive renovations where the changes have effectively created a new type of holiday experience. These properties are identified separately as renovated, so they are not confused with hotels that first opened their doors in 2025–2026.

Why is The Landmark Nicosia included in the 2025–2026 selection?

The Landmark Nicosia began welcoming guests on 2 December 2025, following an extensive renovation of the former Hilton Cyprus. So while it technically opened at the end of 2025, it remains one of Nicosia’s newest major projects for the 2026 hotel season.

Are all the hotels in the selection completely new?

No. Most are new hotel projects from recent seasons, but the selection also includes several interesting relaunches after major renovations. Each such hotel’s description states that it is an update of an existing property, rather than a new hotel built from scratch.

When is the best time to book a new hotel?

For a summer holiday and popular weekends, it’s best to book in advance, especially if you’re interested in a specific room category — a sea-view room, a swim-up room, a private pool or a family suite. There is usually more choice in the shoulder season, and prices may be lower.
