President Christodoulides: All Students Will Sit Exams in Air-Conditioned Classrooms
President Nikos Christodoulides has announced that all students taking the nationwide exams in Cyprus will do so in air-conditioned classrooms.
Addressing the issue of air conditioning in schools, Christodoulides emphasized that all 5,119 candidates will sit their exams “under conditions worthy of a modern European state.”
“This was made possible thanks to our political will, careful planning, and swift action,” the President noted.
He also announced an important change regarding special education. Children receiving special education support, who were previously allowed to stay in the system until the age of 21, will now be able to remain until 22 — “until we ensure they are placed in proper care facilities,” Christodoulides added.
