The first regulation concerns specialists, auxiliary and other personnel involved in painting vehicles using chemicals hazardous to health. The second applies to professional bus drivers working in passenger road transport.

Both documents specify the examinations required and how often they must be carried out. Workers will have to undergo a general clinical examination, a comprehensive pulmonary function test and a hearing test, as well as take a complete blood count, biochemical tests and a urinalysis.

The regulations were issued on Tuesday. Their texts have been published on the website of the Department of Labour Inspection, the authority responsible for monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in Cyprus.
