Cyprus Ministry of Education approves summer holiday dates for primary school pupils

The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus has officially announced the end dates of the current school year for public primary schools and kindergartens. According to the approved schedule, primary school pupils will go on summer vacation in mid-June, allowing educational institutions to complete all administrative procedures on time, summarize academic performance and prepare school buildings for scheduled renovation work before the start of the next season.

The summer break for primary school pupils will begin immediately after the official end of the school year on Friday, June 19, when children will receive their final report cards. Teaching staff and school administration will continue to carry out their duties for another week to complete annual reporting and hold final pedagogical meetings, after which school teams will also go on official leave until the end of summer.

The return to classrooms is scheduled for the beginning of autumn. The new school year for primary school pupils will begin on Monday, September 7, when schools will fully resume their work. At the same time, teachers and administrative staff will return to their workplaces a week earlier, on September 1, for training seminars, allocation of teaching workloads and final preparation of classrooms for receiving pupils.
