Paphos to host 12 cycling clubs from Poland as part of sports tourism development

ETAP Paphos is welcoming delegations of 12 leading cycling clubs from Poland to Paphos. The visit will take place from February 9 to 12, 2026, and is part of a strategy to develop sports tourism, particularly cycling.
According to reports, the initiative aims to introduce participants to Paphos as a cycling destination, its infrastructure, and routes. The stay program is organized by ETAP Paphos in cooperation with Activate Cyprus, while accommodation for the delegations is provided free of charge by the Athena Beach Hotel of the Constantinou Bros Hotels group.
Polish clubs annually organize training camps, cycling tours, and participate in international competitions—areas that Paphos is strategically focusing on developing.
During the visit, athletes will test new gravel and road cycling routes, explore rural areas of the region, and get acquainted with the cultural heritage and authentic locations of Paphos.
ETAP Paphos emphasizes that the mild climate, warm winter, good air connectivity, developed sports and hotel infrastructure, as well as unique nature make the region a competitive and attractive destination for sports tourism.
