€85 fine for parking at electric vehicle charging stations

Following amendments to the administrative fines legislation (Emergency Fines Law) published on 9 December 2025, Cyprus introduces an €85 fine for improper parking at publicly accessible electric vehicle charging stations.
The fine will be issued to:
- non-electric vehicles parked in charging spots;
- electric vehicles occupying such spots without an actual charging process.
The new rules aim to prevent blocking of charging stations and ensure their availability for electric vehicle drivers.
