A passenger was arrested at Larnaca Airport after authorities discovered a suitcase filled with drugs. During the search, the young man was found carrying 24 kilograms of cannabis.
According to the police, the 27-year-old man arrived at Larnaca Airport on a flight from Bangkok, with a layover in Zurich. Law enforcement had received prior information suggesting he might be in possession of drugs.
Officers from the YKAN Drug Squad, along with customs officials, stopped the man for inspection. Inside his luggage, they found 41 packages of marijuana, amounting to 24 kilograms in total.
The suspect was arrested and remains in custody for further investigation.
