The large-scale residential complex Horizon Towers – Riviera Living has received planning permission, and construction work has already begun in the area of the former oil-refining facilities in the Livadia municipal district of Larnaca.

The first phase of the project includes two 20-storey residential towers with 198 premium apartments. Once the complex is fully completed, it will comprise 530 residential units.

The project also includes the construction of a six-storey building with restaurants, cafés, office premises and a spa centre.

According to the developer SLK Development – Sajrawi Leibovich Karekla, the permit was issued by the Larnaca District Local Government Organisation on 31 July, after which construction work began.

Larnaca Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Charalambos Andreou said that the project would mark the starting point for the large-scale transformation of the former oil storage area, which had remained an industrial zone with limited development for decades.

At the same time, the company is continuing construction of another major project — Lumina Mare in the area of the new Larnaca marina. In addition, the developer plans to implement other projects in the city’s tourist area, including the site of the former Beau Rivage seaside hotel in the Pyla area.
