Limassol investigating cryptocurrency theft from company
Limassol police are investigating a new case of cyber fraud involving the theft of cryptocurrency.
According to law enforcement, on April 16, company employees received an email containing a link. One of the workers clicked on it, after which uncontrolled transfers of funds from the corporate crypto wallet began.
As a result, the attackers transferred 176,580 units of cryptocurrency to unknown addresses.
The investigation is being conducted by the Economic Crime Office.
Police once again urge citizens and companies to be cautious and not to click on suspicious links without verifying their source.
