Polis Chrysochous Municipality improves beach accessibility for people with reduced mobility

Polis Chrysochous Municipality continues to modernize its coastal infrastructure, aimed at ensuring equal access to seaside recreation. During the current summer season, local authorities carried out work to install and relocate specialized autonomous Seatrac systems on Taka Beach and on the city's central municipal beach.

These technological systems allow people with disabilities and mobility impairments to enter the water independently, safely and comfortably. The municipal administration emphasizes that a barrier-free environment is a fundamental right of every person, and ensuring equal opportunities for residents and tourists remains the main priority in the development of social inclusion at the region's resorts.

Deputy Mayor of Polis Chrysochous George Georgiou positively assessed the implementation of this initiative. He noted the importance of the steady improvement of urban and beach infrastructure, which makes the natural assets of the area fully accessible to all categories of citizens without exception. Fully equipped recreation areas are already ready to welcome visitors throughout the summer season.
