Explosion near cultural center in Limassol: police continue investigation
The Republic of Cyprus Police continue to investigate the explosion that occurred in the early hours of July 7 near a cultural center in central Limassol.
As a reminder, around 03:30 unknown individuals detonated an explosive device at the main entrance to the building on Megalu Alexandrou Street. The explosion damaged the entrance to the cultural center and a car parked nearby.
The scene remains cordoned off. Investigators and forensic experts continue their examination to determine the type of explosive device, collect evidence and establish all the circumstances of the incident.
No official information about suspects or possible motives for the crime has been released so far.
