The Barber of Seville

The opera “The Barber of Seville” by Gioachino Rossini will be presented in Nicosia for the first time. It is one of the most beloved and recognizable works in the operatic repertoire, filled with energetic music, humor, and a dynamic plot.

The production is being realized as a joint project with the participation of the State Coordination Center for Opera and Ballet (KKTCDOB), affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, as well as the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The opera, first performed in 1816, remains relevant today, standing as a vivid example of classical comic opera.
