Description of Denizkızı Beach

This sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrellas is located in a bay surrounded by cliffs on the Mediterranean coast. Denizkızı is a beach belonging to the hotel of the same name.

It is well-equipped and accessible not only to hotel guests: other tourists can access it by paying for entry and the use of facilities. You will have access to sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, changing rooms, and hotel parking. It is recommended to check prices with the hotel administration before your visit.

Denizkızı Beach Infrastructure

The beach is covered with soft golden sand, pleasant for walking. Because the beach is located in a natural bay, there are no strong waves here, the sea is calm, and the water is very clear. The length of the beach is about 100 meters.

The area is divided into two parts, as another hotel is located next to the Denizkızı hotel. It is worth noting that the management of both hotels carefully monitors cleanliness: the shoreline is cleaned every morning.

The beach infrastructure is well developed. Here you will find:

The beach and its access paths are surrounded by lush vegetation, which many tourists note as one of the main features of this place, not only for its beauty but also for the pleasant aromas.

Within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, there are many shops selling groceries, souvenirs, and other goods, as well as supermarkets and restaurants.

Best Time to Visit

The season, as with other beaches in Northern Cyprus, starts in April when the air temperature reaches +20 to +25°C (although the water warms up to +22...+23°C only by the end of May) and lasts until the end of October, when the rainy and windy season begins. The hottest months are July and August, with an average temperature of +33°C and almost no precipitation.

The most pleasant period for relaxation is from August to October, when the daytime temperature is about +26...+33°C, and the water temperature is +25...+29°C. For visitors with children, September is the most popular month to visit the beach since the intense heat subsides, but the sea remains very warm and comfortable for swimming (around +27.4°C).

How to Get to Denizkızı Beach in Northern Cyprus

Denizkızı Beach is located 10 kilometers west of Girne, one of the largest cities in Northern Cyprus. The Karaoğlanoğlu Caddesi road, connecting Kyrenia, runs about 300 meters from the coast. Local minibuses (dolmuş) run along the road, stopping on request and operating until 18:00. The central bus station is located in the center of Girne.

In Girne and other major cities of Northern Cyprus, you can rent a car, which is convenient if you want to visit not only the beach but also other interesting places in this region of the island.
