April 30th on Northern Cyprus is expected to have rain and thunderstorms

According to the Department of Meteorology of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), on Tuesday, April 30th, the region is under the influence of low pressure and cool moist air in the upper atmospheric layers. Rain and thunderstorms have reached Northern Cyprus.

Meteorologists predict variable cloudiness. The heaviest precipitation is expected in the vicinity of Famagusta and on the Karpas Peninsula. The air temperature remains 5-7 degrees above seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, thermometers may rise to 32°C.

During the rains, northwest winds may strengthen. No storms are expected in the region today. Three weather warnings from meteorologists remain in effect in the region. There is still a high probability of forest fires and a moderate level of ultraviolet radiation on Northern Cyprus.

It is not advisable to stay under the sun for more than 20 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.

The dust that came to the island from North Africa will persist until this evening.
