Ercan Airport Welcomes Over 462,000 Passengers in October
In October 2024, Ercan Airport served 462,646 passengers, marking a 13.38% increase compared to the same month last year. The number of flights also rose by 13.23%, reaching a total of 2,947.
Since the opening of the new Ercan Airport, passenger and flight numbers have continued to climb steadily. For comparison, in October last year, the airport handled 408,051 passengers.
According to data shared by T&T, the airport’s management company, passenger numbers increased by 20.49%, and the number of flights grew by 13.23% in the first ten months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023.
Between January and October 2023, Ercan Airport managed a total of 21,984 flights, comprising 10,898 arrivals and 10,995 departures. In the same period of 2024, the airport handled 24,893 flights, with 12,446 arrivals and 12,447 departures.
Regarding passenger volume, Ercan Airport served a total of 3,267,171 passengers between January and October 2023. For the same period in 2024, this figure climbed to 3,936,745 passengers.
Notably, both last year and this year, October has been the peak month for passenger and flight numbers at Ercan Airport.
