A biker died in a collision of two motorcycles in Northern Cyprus
An accident involving two motorcycles occurred in Northern Cyprus. One of the drivers died, and the other sustained serious injuries and is still in the hospital.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday afternoon in the area of Yudi Mountain on the northern coastal road from Kyrenia to Karpas. 27-year-old Mubarek Karatash was riding his motorcycle from Kaplica towards Yenierenkoy. On a sharp turn, he crossed into the oncoming lane, resulting in a collision with another motorcycle driven by 55-year-old Jolly Wayne.
Both motorcycle drivers, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, were taken to the Famagusta State Hospital. Despite the efforts of the doctors, the older of the two men succumbed to the injuries and died in the hospital. The rehabilitation of the second biker is ongoing.
The police are investigating the causes of the fatal accident.
