In Northern Cyprus, Finance Minister Özdemir Berova stated on March 27, 2026, that it is not yet possible to name the exact inflation figure for the end of March, but a range of 7.5–8.5 percent is predicted. The speech took place on the Kıbrıs Postası program.

According to Berova, the ministry aimed for a figure of 8 percent when preparing budget calculations. He emphasized that the final data depends on price dynamics and statistics, which are being finalized.

The Minister also announced that the issue of the minimum wage level will be reconsidered and determined in April. For residents, this means that official decisions affecting incomes and essential goods may follow in the near future.

Official statements from the minister and upcoming decisions on the minimum wage should be monitored through competent authorities to understand possible changes in family budgets and expense planning.
