Two people were injured in an accident on the Nicosia-Guzelyurt highway. The driver was speeding and lost control.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday evening around 17:20, between the 11th and 12th kilometers on the main road from Nicosia to Guzelyurt. The 19-year-old driver of the car was speeding, lost control, and collided with a car traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the impact, the first car veered off the road and overturned onto its left side, while the second car crashed into the roadside barrier.
The driver and a 31-year-old passenger of the first car were injured in the accident. They both sustained injuries and were taken by ambulance to the emergency care unit.
