Ersin Tatar met with the Head of Tatarstan

President of the TRNC Ersin Tatar met with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The bilateral negotiations took place on the sidelines of the diplomatic forum in Antalya.

According to the press service of the leader of Northern Cyprus, during the meeting of the two leaders, historical ties between the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Republic of Tatarstan were emphasized, as well as the discussion on the development of bilateral relations and possibilities for further cooperation.

Regional and international issues were also discussed within the framework of high-level negotiations.

It is worth reminding that on Friday, the President of the TRNC, along with his wife Sibel Tatar and accompanying delegation, traveled to Turkey. Over the weekend, the head of Northern Cyprus participated in the III Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, which was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The main theme of the forum was designated as "The Fundamental Importance of Diplomacy in Times of Crisis".

In addition to the meeting with the head of Tatarstan, Ersin Tatar participated in the opening and closing ceremonies of the forum, conducted a series of international contacts, and delivered a speech at the panel titled "The New Future of Cyprus".
