Three More Individuals Declared Persona Non Grata in Northern Cyprus
The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has officially declared three individuals as prohibited immigrants, barring them from entering the country due to allegations of fraud.
According to announcements published in the Official Gazette, Bahtiyar Karyagdiyev and his wife, Jennet Musayeva, were banned for allegedly sending invitation letters to individuals in Turkmenistan. These letters allowed the recipients to easily enter the TRNC under false pretenses, enabling them to take advantage of certain benefits within the country.
The third individual, Bülent Licis, was convicted of fraud by the 5th Magistrates' Criminal Court of Bakırköy and the 3rd Magistrates' Criminal Court of Gaziantep. Licis, who had been a fugitive, is now officially prohibited from entering the TRNC following the Council’s decision.
