TRNC Interior Minister Meets with Turkish Interior Minister
Dursun Oğuz, the Interior Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), met with Turkey’s Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya. After their meeting, the two officials addressed the media in a joint press statement.
During the discussions, the ministers reviewed progress on the establishment and operation of the Irregular Migration Center. They also discussed the steps required to enhance the functionality of Repatriation Centers.
Minister Oğuz highlighted the evaluation of cooperative efforts between Turkey and the TRNC on the extradition of criminals. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration in addressing cross-border criminal activity.
Furthermore, Oğuz expressed his gratitude to Yerlikaya for the donation of two vehicles to the TRNC Civil Defense Organization, a gift provided by Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
