Head of Northern Cyprus Speaks with President of Turkey
President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, spoke by phone with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The head of Northern Cyprus expressed support for Turkey's policy regarding the Gaza Strip.
During the phone conversation, the Turkish Cypriot leader condemned a statement by Israel's Foreign Minister against the President of Turkey.
President Tatar noted that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan "supports the oppressed and stands against oppressors under any circumstances," and emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus "supports Turkey's stance against Israel's attacks, which have turned into a genocide operation against the Palestinian people."
Additionally, Ersin Tatar thanked the President of Turkey for the publication by the Directorate of Communications of the book titled "Who is to Blame? Today Cannot Be Viewed Separately from the Past," which sheds light on the history of the Cyprus issue.
