Golfers from the TRNC are participating in the Turkish-Kazakh Friendship Tournament in Antalya
The Golf Tournament dedicated to fostering friendship between Turkey and Kazakhstan has commenced in Antalya. Athletes from the TRNC are among those representing the Turkish team.
This tournament, fostering camaraderie between the two nations, is organized in collaboration with the golf federations of Turkey and Kazakhstan. It unfolds amidst the picturesque golf club fields of Belek, situated in Antalya's bustling tourist hub.
A total of 48 golfers, including athletes from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan as part of the Kazakhstan team, and representatives from the TRNC forming the Turkish team, are participating in the competition.
The Turkish team boasts notable figures such as Mehmet Dora, Deputy President of the Turkish Golf Federation, along with board member Recep Turan, businessmen Fikret Ozturk and Mehmet Aygun, as well as tourism professionals Ali Shahin and Ercan Chek.
The President of the Turkish Golf Federation highlighted that the tournament aims to foster and solidify the bonds of friendship between the two nations.
Over the course of the three-day tournament, athletes will vie for the prestigious title of champions across 54 holes. The event will culminate in an award ceremony on June 6th.
