Truck Tears Power Cable in the Ozanköy Area
A truck owned by the company "Perçin Kardeşler" tore an electric cable in the Ozanköy area. The severed wires fell onto a gas station and people.
The network accident occurred today around 11:30. Workers neglected safety procedures and improperly placed the felled tree on the truck. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident. However, the fallen wires frightened local residents. The police and municipal authorities have been informed of the incident.
As a result of the incident, the region experienced a prolonged power outage.
Employees of the Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority have started to rectify the consequences of the accident and work to prevent possible damage that may arise from the fallen power lines.
