Several roads in Cyprus to be temporarily closed due to Republic Day celebrations

On October 29, Republic Day celebrations will take place across the country with parades and concert events. As a result, some roads will be temporarily closed to traffic.
According to the Police Press Service, restrictions will come into effect one hour before the parades begin and will remain in place until the events conclude.
Parade routes by district:
• İskele: from 09:00, from the Şehitler Monument to Ecevit Square.
• Lefke: from 09:30, from the police station to Atatürk Park.
• Famagusta: from 11:30, from the Victory Monument roundabout along İstiklal Street to Namık Kemal Square.
• Güzelyurt: from 11:45, from the District Administration along Ecevit Street to the covered market.
• Nicosia: from 14:30, along Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu), from Pronto roundabout to Avenue shopping center.
• Kyrenia: from 15:00, from The Arkın Colony Hotel along the route Ramadan Cemil – Ziya Rızkı – Turgut Tahsin – 20 Temmuz to the Atatürk Monument.
The police urged drivers to plan their routes in advance, avoid parking on the listed streets, and strictly follow traffic signs and police instructions.
