Due to the celebrations on October 29, several roads in Northern Cyprus will be closed
According to the police press service, on Wednesday, October 29, in connection with the republican celebrations and parades, certain roads along the routes of processions and concert programs will be temporarily closed.
In Iskele at 09:00, the procession will start from the Şehitler Monument and end at Ecevit Square; closures will occur an hour before the start. In Lefke at 09:30 — from the police station building through Dr. Selçuk Sömlek Square and along Atatürk Street to the square near Atatürk Park. In Famagusta at 11:30, the route will go from the Victory Monument roundabout along İstiklal Street to Namık Kemal Square. In Güzelyurt at 11:45, it will start from the district administration along Ecevit Street, finishing at the covered market. In Nicosia at 14:30, the procession will move along Mehmet Akif Street (Dereboyu) from the Pronto roundabout to the Avenue shopping center. In Kyrenia at 15:00 — from The Arkın Colony Hotel via Ramadan Cemil Square, Ziya Rızkı Street, Turgut Tahsin Street, and the 20 Temmuz waterfront to the Atatürk Monument.
Drivers are asked to plan alternative routes in advance, not to park on the designated roads, and to comply with traffic signs and police instructions.
