The Treasury was warned that if overtime payments are not made by June 20, action will be taken

President of the Cyprus and Turkish Public Servants Union (KTAMS), Güven Bengihan, stated that although the Public Servants Law and the Public Health Workers Law stipulate that overtime payments must be made no later than within one month, the Ministry of Finance has developed a habit of paying 3-4 months late.
He emphasized that employees work overtime and do not see their families. Bengihan said that the authorities are neglecting their duties and failing to pay salaries on time, as required by law.
Bengihan said: "To prevent further harassment of employees, we would like to announce that if the overtime payments, which have not been made since March, are not paid by June 20, we will initiate a protest so that employees will not work overtime."
