Lavin and Edje - Names of the First Babies Born in Northern Cyprus in 2024
The first child born in Northern Cyprus in 2024 is a baby girl named Lavin. She was born at 06:15 at the Famagusta State Hospital.
The baby's weight is 3 kilograms and 300 grams. Lavin's parents, Gemile and Kemal Cokyuks, admitted that the birth of their daughter was the most significant New Year's gift for them.
The second child in 2024 arrived 20 minutes later at 06:35 at the Akcicek Hospital in Kyrenia. Nuray Celik and Erdem Ahmet Celik named their newborn daughter Edje. The baby's weight was 3 kilograms and 900 grams.
The family shared that they welcomed the new year with great joy.
