Kyrenia Military Hospital to Provide Free Treatment for Civilians
The Kyrenia Military Hospital will start offering free medical care to civilians.
Health Minister Hakan Dinçürük shared the news on the “Sabah Postası” program, explaining that the 100-bed military hospital in Kyrenia, which is nearing completion, is set to meet the needs of local residents.
It’s important to note that a protocol allowing civilians to use the hospital’s services was signed last weekend during a visit by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to the TRNC.
According to Minister Dinçürük, the agreement stipulates that medical care for local residents will be provided at no cost.
“This is a modern facility for our people. Turkey built this hospital to offer free assistance to TRNC citizens,” said the Health Minister.
Dinçürük also discussed ongoing efforts to establish medical centers in villages lacking such facilities and to deploy doctors where they are needed.
“We are working hard to attract more doctors to areas with shortages and will continue these efforts,” Dinçürük added.
