Lefkoşa: traffic restricted due to Republic Day parade rehearsal

As part of the rehearsal for celebrating the 42nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, traffic on Dr. Fazıl Küçük Boulevard in Lefkoşa is temporarily closed from 07:00 on the section between Gönyeli Roundabout and Altınbaş Petrol traffic lights.

Police are asking drivers to use alternative routes and follow road signs. Traffic management during the rehearsal will be organized as follows:

• For drivers heading to Organize Sanayi Bölgesi, movement will be provided via Altınbaş Petrol traffic lights.
• For traffic to Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Hastanesi from the Famagusta side: via İrsen Küçük Lefkoşa Çevre Yolu and Yakın Doğu Boulevard.
• For traffic to the center of Lefkoşa: via Hamitköy Roundabout, Mimar Mehmet Vahip Street, Şehit İsmail Beyoğlu Street, or via Honda Traffic Lights, then Şehit Mustafa Ahmet Ruso Street.
• For traffic to Güzelyurt from the Famagusta side: via İrsen Küçük Lefkoşa Çevre Yolu, Gönyeli/Alayköy Roundabout, or via Citröen Traffic Lights and Metehan-Alayköy Çevre Yolu.
• For traffic to Lefkoşa from Güzelyurt: via Alayköy-Metehan Çevre Yolu or Gönyeli Roundabout and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Caddesi (Devlet Hastanesi).
• For traffic to Lefkoşa from Girne: via Girne-Lefkoşa Anayolu, Gönyeli Roundabout and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Caddesi (Devlet Hastanesi).

Traffic will be restored after the rehearsal is completed.
