The Minister of Finance of the TRNC talked about a traffic accident involving him
The Minister of Finance of the TRNC, Ozdemir Berova, commented on a traffic accident involving him that occurred yesterday afternoon. According to the head of the Ministry of Finance, no one was seriously injured as a result of the accident.
"Our greatest comfort was that no one was injured as a result of the accident," the minister's statement said.
To recall,the accident involving the Ministry of Finance team occurred yesterday afternoon, around 3:00 p.m. on the main road from Famagusta to Nicosia. According to the police press service, at the intersection, a 74-year-old driver entered the main road without giving way to the minister's convoy, resulting in a collision with the minister's official car with the license plate "007", which was heading towards Nicosia.
At the time of the accident, Ozdemir Berova and press advisor Ozlem Sefer were in the car. They were returning from the sixth World Conference on Medical Tourism.
After the incident, the minister, his advisor, and the driver of the second car were taken to Famagusta State Hospital for a health check.
According to the minister, after the accident, he received phone calls wishing him a speedy recovery. These were from the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Ylmaz, the President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, the Speaker of the Parliament, Zorlu Töre, the Prime Minister, Ünal Üstel. The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Metin Feyziolu.
Ozdemir Berova expressed his gratitude to everyone who did not remain indifferent to the accident and to his well-being.
